Significant snow is predicted for the Twin Cities area, including Hastings, beginning tomorrow morning. 
The US National Weather Service Twin Cities Minnesota is predicting snow for the Twin Cities area, including Hastings, Friday morning and into the evening with significant snowfall totals.
The City will no longer send a Nixle alert to subscribers to notify of a snow emergency. Per City ordinance and to simplify the process, a snow emergency AUTOMATICALLY goes into effect when two or more inches of snow have accumulated. Please watch the snowfall and move your vehicles off the road. If you are unclear whether a full 2 inches have accumulated, please proactively move your vehicle off the street. The police department will begin ticketing when two inches of snow have accumulated, so our plows can get out as soon as possible to clear the roads.
