City will no longer send Snow Emergency Alerts. You must move vehicles off street at 2 inch snow accumulation. 
The City of Hastings is under a Winter Snow Warning and significant snowfall totals are expected. The City's Snow Emergency automatically goes into effect when 2 or more inches of snow have accumulated. Do not wait for an email, text, or voice message from the city. The city is no longer using Nixle to communicate when a snow emergency is in effect. Watch the snowfall and proactively move your vehicle when 2 inches of snow have accumulated, or earlier. The police department will begin ticketing when 2 inches of snow have accumulated.
