* WHAT...For the High Wind Warning, southwest winds 30 to 40 mph with gusts around 60 mph. For the Wind Advisory, west then northwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts around 50 mph.
* WHERE...Portions of central, south central and west central Michigan.
* WHEN...For the High Wind Warning, until noon EST today. For the Wind Advisory, from noon today to 7 PM EST this evening.
* IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...The passage of a strong cold front this morning will bring sudden wind gusts of around 60 mph out of the southwest. Gusts this afternoon will be around 50 mph from the northwest.
