Offender: Renee Stevens
On December 9, 2021 Officers with the McDowell County Narcotics Task Force (comprised of the Marion Police Department, McDowell County Sheriff’s Office, and North Carolina State Bureau of Investigations), conducted a Narcotics Search Warrant on the home of Renee Stevens (159 Circle C Street, Marion).
The Marion Police Department Special Response Team, with the assistance of the McDowell County Sheriff’s Office Special Response Team, entered the home around 06:00AM, to find Stevens asleep in bed. Officers cleared the residence, and Investigators from both agencies searched the home locating narcotics and narcotic related equipment.
Renee Lynne Stevens, 51 years of age, was arrested and charged with the following crimes:
Possession of Methamphetamine
Maintaining a Dwelling for the Sale or Use of Controlled Substance
Possession of a Controlled Substance with the Intent to Manufacture, Sale, and Deliver
Stevens was placed in the custody of the McDowell County Jail under a $25,000 bond. Further charges are pending in this case.
