Are you prepared for the rain?

Tomorrow's forecast calls for rain all day long. Make sure you are ready as driving in the rain can be dangerous. You can be safer on those wet roads by making sure your car is ready and ensuring you can always see properly.

Don't forget to:
Turn on your windshield wipers.

Slow down. During ANY inclement weather or unfavorable driving conditions, your first reaction should always be to adjust your speed accordingly.

Turn your lights on. When it starts to rain, turn on your headlights immediately, regardless of whether it's day or night.

Stay five seconds behind the car in front of you.

Avoid slamming on the brakes. Slamming on the brakes can cause you to slide forward, and you won't be able to control the car.

Give yourself a few extra minutes to get to your destination to make sure you can drive slowly and safely. And as in any weather or road conditions, wear your seatbelt and don't text and drive!
