On Sunday, December 12, 2021, officers from the Ontario Police Department conducted a proactive traffic stop in the area of Holt Boulevard and Boulder Avenue after observing a vehicle code violation.
During a consensual search of the vehicle, a loaded .22 caliber firearm was located under the driver’s seat. In addition to the discovery of the firearm, ammunition was located in the trunk of the vehicle.
Angel Prado, age 35 of Ontario, was booked at the West Valley Detention Center on multiple felony charges that included being an being an ex-felon gang member in possession of a firearm while on bail for a prior firearm charge.
Despite the daily risks, OPD officers work proactively and diligently to keep criminals and firearms off the streets. Keeping our streets safe is our priority.
