On 12/14/21 at 3:34 A.M., officers of the Janesville Police Department were sent to Mercy Hospital, located at 1000 Mineral Point Ave., for a stabbing incident. A 21-year-old male Janesville resident was transported from the 400 block of N. Walnut St. to Mercy Hospital by an associate.
Assistance was requested from the Investigations Division. Detectives and an evidence technician responded to assist with the investigation. The victim was treated at the medical facility for non-life-threatening injuries and has since been released.
The investigation is active and on-going.
