Assault on a Restaurant Employee in November Leads to the Arrest of a Menifee Man

INCIDENT: Assault with a Deadly Weapon
LOCATION: 3160 Chino Avenue, Buffalo Wild Wings
SUSPECT(S): Willie Mitchell, 26-year-old resident of Menifee
VICTIM(S): Confidential resident of Chino Hills
SUMMARY: On Sunday, November 21, 2021, at approximately 11:01 p.m., deputies were notified of a physical altercation at Buffalo Wild Wings where a patron assaulted an employee. Through investigation, detectives learned the patron brandished a firearm and threatened the employee. The suspect left the location without further incident. Detectives identified Willie Mitchell as the suspect and obtained an arrest warrant.
On Tuesday, December 14, 2021, members from the Chino Hills Mulitple Enforcement Team conducted a traffic stop on Mitchell's vehicle near Riverside Drive and Central Avenue in Chino. Mitchell was taken into custody for the warrant and a firearm was located inside the vehicle.
Michell was transported and booked into the West Valley Detention Center.
