PG&E has advised work completed and power restored to all affected. The 200 Block of Arlington Avenue has been cleared and lanes are  open in all directions.

If you are continuing to have service disruption please contact PG&E at 1-800-743-5000.

PG&E has notified Kensington PD that some of its users have regained power from work completed so far. Unfortunately, many are still without power at this time. They are continuing their failure analysis of the problems and are working hard in the 200 block of Arlington Avenue to regain power for remaining citizens affected.

PG&E is unable to provide a time frame of completion but are working through the night hours to rectify the situation. Please stay clear of the 200 Block of Arlington Avenue and find alternate routes as work crews and vehicles are positioned in the roadway.

A PG&E issue has occurred in the area of Westminster Avenue and Arlington Avenue at approximately 3:00pm today. Power was reported to be out for portions of the District. Kensington PD reached out to PG&E and was notified that their teams are working to address the problem as we speak. PG&E estimated repairs could take several hours to repair. Please plan on power being out until at least 10pm.

We will keep you updated as we receive information from PG&E. If you are affected, please consider other options to keep warm as the temperatures are currently hovering at 43 Degrees and expected to drop to 40 Degrees tonight.

Please check on neighbors and friends in the area and let the Kensington Police Department of Fire Department know if you need assistance. You can the Albany Police Dispatch Center to have us notified at 510-525-7300, in the event of an emergency please dial 911.
