Before you get on the road:
• Fuel-up
• Clean your windows inside and out
• Check, clean and/or replace your windshield wipers
• Be sure your headlights, brake lights and tail lights are functioning properly
• Check your emergency kit
On the way to your destination:
• Allow extra time for your travels
• Turn on your headlights
• Drive slow and turn off cruise control
• Maintain extra distance between vehicles
• Be alert! Look for pedestrians and bicyclists
• Avoid heavy braking
• Do not drive through standing water
