* Severe Thunderstorm Warning for... Polk County in central Iowa... Southern Greene County in west central Iowa... Southwestern Story County in central Iowa... Madison County in south central Iowa... Guthrie County in west central Iowa... Eastern Audubon County in west central Iowa... Southern Boone County in central Iowa... Dallas County in central Iowa... Adair County in southwestern Iowa... Warren County in south central Iowa...

* At 509 PM CST, severe thunderstorms were located along a line extending from near Coon Rapids to 8 miles north of Lake Icaria, moving east at 80 mph. THESE ARE DESTRUCTIVE STORMS FOR CENTRAL IOWA. HAZARD...80 mph wind gusts. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be heavily damaged. Expect considerable damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles. Extensive tree damage and power outages are likely.

Des Moines, West Des Moines, Ankeny, Urbandale, Johnston, Clive, Indianola, Altoona, Waukee, Norwalk, Pleasant Hill, Grimes, Perry, Winterset, Adel, Greenfield, Guthrie Center, Windsor Heights, Carlisle and Bondurant. This includes the following highways... Interstate 35 between mile markers 43 and 72, and between mile markers 87 and 107. Interstate 80 between mile markers 73 and 149. Interstate 235 between mile markers 1 and 14.
