School Threat Information Response December 17, 2021
The Pleasantville Police Department in conjunction with the Pleasantville Public Schools Administration are aware of the existence of broadly stated threats circulating on Social Media particularly TikTok. The Command Staff of the Police Department met with the Pleasantville Public Schools Administration this afternoon to collaborate and form a response to the information provided by the New Jersey State Office of School Preparedness and Emergency Planning regarding these threats. It is important to note that the Pleasantville Public Schools are not directly targeted in these threats.
As a result of this collaboration there will be an increased Law Enforcement presence in the area of all of the Pleasantville Public Schools tomorrow. It is recommended that Parents/Guardians monitor your children's use of Social Media.
The Police Department continues to ask all to report anything suspicious to the Police Department and the Pleasantville Public Schools.
