The West Caldwell Police Department is aware of social media posts circulating on TikTok regarding threatened potential school violence.  Please be advised that there have been no threats made to any of the Caldwell/West Caldwell Schools.  

We are in close contact with the Superintendent of Schools and will continue to closely monitor national, state, county and local intelligence on the threat.  

There will be an increased presence of uniformed and plain clothes officers at each of the schools overnight, at morning arrival, throughout the school day, and dismissal.  

As alway, we are stronger together as a community when we communicate with one another.   We remind everyone to be extra vigilant in their observations, not only at our schools, but in our daily travels.  If you see something suspicious or out of the ordinary, call our desk at (973)226-4114 to report and allow us to investigate.
