Our Department is well aware of the current refrences to school violence circulating on social media warning of potential violence that may occur tomorrow,  12/17. We have diligently followed up on all information we have received and we, along with other local, State, regional, and Federal law enforcement have determined that none of these threats appear to be credible. We have worked side by side with the Guilderland School District in order to provide a safe learning environment for many years. This partnership has been extraordinarily beneficial for all of us and has enabled us to keep everyone informed thoughout this latest incident.. There will be an additional police presence at our Guilderland Schools tomorrow which should not be interpreted as giving credibility to these vague threats, but rather to give peace of mind to our residents.
