Petaluma Police Department Press Release - Nationwide Unspecified Threats of School Violence
The Petaluma Police Department is aware of the nationwide threats that have been circulating on multiple social media platforms that suggests unspecified threats of school violence to occur on Friday, December 17th. To be clear, no Petaluma Schools has received any direct threat.
We are closely monitoring the information. If a threat occurs, we will take immediate action to protect our students and school staff. We are also working closely with Petaluma School Districts and plan to have an increased police presence throughout the day.
The Petaluma Police Department takes all threats seriously and is determined to identify all suspects who make such threats.
