The Pelham Police Department is actively investigating a potential social media threat that was received earlier this morning to the Pelham School District.  This new threat likely stemmed from yesterday’s national TikTok post that went viral for every school in the country that warned about shooting and bomb threats to schools.  Luckily, the national TikTok post was determined to be a non-creditable threat.  However, each of these incidents in isolation are a matter of concern.  The new social media post received this morning, coupled with yesterday’s information resulted in Pelham Schools shifting to virtual instruction for the safety and security of the students and staff.  

As we investigate this morning’s social media post we will continue to gather information and share it with the school district to determine its creditability.  We are encouraging anyone who may have additional information, whether here in Pelham, or elsewhere to call the Pelham Police Department at (914) 738-2000.
