A Search for a Suspect Leads to Two Arrest for Firearms and Narcotics Charges



DATE/TIME: December 16, 2021

INCIDENT: Felon in Possession of Firearm, Felon in Possession of Ammunition, Possession of Narcotics with Intent to Sell, Possession of Narcotics, Possession of a controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of Illegal Weapons

LOCATION: 700 Block of Tyrol Drive, Crestline

SUSPECT(S): 
1) Justin Brien, 40-year-old male resident of Crestline (remains outstanding)
2) Lauren Watson, 31-year-old female resident of Crestline
3) Gabriel Dube, 32-year-old male resident of Crestline

VICTIM(S): State of California


SUMMARY: On Thursday, December 16, 2021, at approximately 9:47 a.m., deputies from the Twin Peaks Station conducted an investigation that led them to a residence located in the 700 block of Tyrol Drive.

Deputies were looking for a wanted suspect named Justin Brien. Brien has active warrants for his arrest including narcotics and firearms charges. Deputies suspected Brien was selling narcotics inside the residence and was possibly armed. 

Deputies contacted Gabriel Dube and Luren Watson, who were standing outside the residence. Dube and Watson were in possession of illegal narcotics and paraphernalia. During an inventory search of Watson's vehicle, deputies recovered an illegal knife and brass knuckles. Dube and Watson were arrested and transported to Central Detention Center.

Deputies authored a search warrant for the residence and recovered a firearm, ammunition, narcotics, a scale, baggies, two "jigs" for manufacturing fireams, fireworks, and drug paraphernalia inside Brien's room. Brien was not at the location and left the residence prior to deputies arrival.
