Shop with a Cop looked a little different this year due to the pandemic, but the holiday spirit remained the same.
Instead of the traditional shopping excursion, brunch at Mariani's Inn & Restaurant and gift wrapping session, kids met at the Police Department to interact with police officers, City Council members and Santa Clara Police Activities League Board members. Participants were given a $200 gift card to Target to use toward holiday gifts and household needs.
Although the holidays will pass and these children will eventually grow out of their new toys and clothes, we hope they never forget the kind hearts and generosity of the people they interacted with during their visit to the Police Department.
