Homicide Arrest
 
On December 16, 2021 at 1:23 A.M., Officers from the Norton Shores Police Department were dispatched to MI Bar at 2389 W. Sherman in Norton Shores on a disturbance with shots fired.  Officers arrived on the scene and found a male subject on the ground who had been shot multiple times.  Officers and medical responders attempted CPR but were un successful. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene and was identified as Andre Garner.
 
The Muskegon County Prosecutor’s office charged Kyle Decker Robbins, 40 yrs. old of Muskegon, with a five-count warrant in connection to the death of Andre Garner, 27 yrs.
 
Count 1- Homicide- Open murder
Count 2- Weapons- Carrying Concealed
Count 3- Weapons- Firearms- possession by a felon
Count 4- Weapons- Felony Firearm
Count 5- Weapons- Felony Firearm 2^nd
Also, charged with being a Habitual Offender- Fourth Offense
 
Law Enforcement has been actively searching for Kyle Robbins for the past five days.  Several tips have led the search to out of town addresses.  However, early this morning (approx. 2a.m.) Kyle Robbins called 911 from the Harvey/Hile park and ride where he turned himself in. Norton Shores Police officers arrested Robbins without incident. Robbins was lodged in the Muskegon County jail.
