We have been experiencing incidents of mail theft throughout the township. Thieves are targeting mailboxes with cash, checks and gift cards being sent out for the holidays. The mail thieves target mailboxes with the red flags up, signaling the mail carrier that there is outgoing mail. Consider taking any outgoing mail that contains gift cards, checks, etc. directly to the local post office for delivery.
Cash should never be sent through the mail.
