Suspects believed to be responsible for approx 30 auto burglaries in custody after deliberately ramming vehicle into officer’s vehicle.

On December 20, 2021 at 8:23 pm officers responded to a parking lot in the 100 block of East El Camino Real to investigate an auto burglary.  The first officer to arrive on scene was driving an un-marked police vehicle and saw the suspects leave the parking lot in a black two door sedan. The officer followed the vehicle to another parking lot in the 500 block of East El Camino Real where he saw the suspects commit an additonal auto burglary.

The officer attempted to stop the suspects but the driver deliberately rammed his car into the officer’s vehicle. All three suspects quickly exited their car and ran away. Two of the suspects were located a short time later. The third suspect was not located and is still outstanding. At this time it is believed that these suspects may be responsible for as many as 30 additional auto-burglaries throughout the Bay Area.

Suspects Silvestre Barbosadimas and Graylen Hunt were booked into the Santa Clara County Jail for Assault with a deadly weapon (CA Penal Code 245), Burglary (CA Penal Code 459) and Conspiracy (CA Penal Code 182). We would like to thank the San Jose Police Department Air Support Unit for assisting us in locating these suspects.

This is an active investigation. Anyone with additional information is asked to contact Detective Rosette at 408-730-7100.
