* WHAT...Avalanche danger for the watch area may rise to High on Friday, December 24th.
* WHERE...For the Selkirk, Cabinet, Purcell, and Northern Bitterroot Mountains of the Idaho Panhandle.
* WHEN...In effect until 6 PM PST Friday.
* IMPACTS...Heavy snowfall and wind may create widespread areas of unstable snow.
* AFFECTED AREAS: BONNER, ID ... BOUNDARY, ID ... KOOTENAI, ID ... SHOSHONE, ID
Instructions:
Very dangerous avalanche conditions may develop. Large avalanches may run long distances and into mature forests, valley floors, or flat terrain. Consult http://www.idahopanhandleavalanche.org for more detailed information. Similar avalanche danger may exist at locations outside the coverage area of any Avalanche Center.
