Emergency personnel arrived on scene, finding that two vehicles had crashed into one another.  The first vehicle was driven by Crystal Louise Adkins, 30 yrs of White Pigeon, MI. Ms. Adkins was traveling eastbound on U.S. 12 Hwy approaching the intersection when the second vehicle, traveling southbound on Baldwin Prairie Rd pulled out in front of her. The driver of second vehicle, Robert Adair Morrison, 86 yrs of Vandalia, MI.   Initial investigation shows that Mr. Morrison failed to yield to Ms. Adkins at the intersection.   Ms. Adkins and her 5 year old child Matthew Mckibbin as well as Mr. Morrison were transported to Elkhart General Hospital for their injuries.   Seat belts, Child Safety Seats and Airbags were used in the crash. At this time, it does not appear that Alcohol or Narcotics played a factor in the crash. Deputies were assisted by Porter Township Fire Dept and SEPSA Ambulance. This crash remains under investigation.
