Nothing screams “break into my house” as much as a PS5 box on the curb next to your trash bin. Use some post-holiday safety!
What Christmas gift did you receive that you are most excited about this year?
As everyone is enjoying their new holiday gifts , Lancaster Sheriff's Station takes a moment to remind our residents to be wise and use some post-holiday caution in the next few days.
1. Breakdown ALL boxes and place them INSIDE your trash bins. Nothing screams “please break into my house” quite as much as a PS5 box on the curb next to your trash bin.
2. Don’t advertise specifics of any upcoming trips via social media. That friend of a friend on your friends list may be tempted to see what Santa brought you for Christmas first hand, especially if they know when you’ll be out of town.
3. As excited as your kids may be about their new iPhone, Nintendo Switch or expensive bike, make sure they don’t take it with them to school or show them to too many “friends”. Anyone could easily use force to take those from your child.
Be aware and use just a little bit of extra caution to make sure your new goodies stay safe!
Lancaster Sheriff’s Station polices the City of Lancaster, Antelope Valley College in Lancaster, and the unincorporated communities of Antelope Acres, Lake Los Angeles, and Quartz Hill in the Antelope Valley.
