Appointments are still available for tonight’s COVID-19 vaccine/booster clinic, which will be held from 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM in the Leonia Recreation Center gymnasium, 370 Broad Ave. in Leonia.
 
As a reminder, children ages 5-11 are eligible to receive their initial Pfizer vaccinations (NOT boosters), and adults 18 years of age and older are eligible to receive a booster vaccination dose if they received their initial vaccination doses at least two months ago (for those who received the Johnson & Johnson vaccine), or at least six months ago (for those who received either the Pfizer and Moderna vaccine).
 
Several recent studies have shown that there is a higher immunity response in those who receive the Moderna booster after receiving Johnson & Johnson or Pfizer initial doses.
 
The current rate of transmission in New Jersey is 1.73, and rate of positivity is 18.6%. Don’t wait! If you are eligible to receive a booster, simply visit www.covidvaccineleonia.youcanbook.me to register for a booster at tonight’s clinic.
