New Year’s Day closures announced; HPU hours adjusted; Clinic schedule announced

In observance of New Year’s Day, municipal offices will be closed on Friday, Dec. 31.

Street cleaning will be suspended on Friday, Dec. 31. All waste collection will occur as regularly scheduled.

Parking meters will be suspended on New Year’s Day, Jan. 1. They will, however, be in effect thereafter.

In response to the surge in COVID-19 cases in Hoboken and Hudson County, Hop service will continue to be temporarily suspended through Jan. 7. 

For the week of Jan. 3, the Hoboken Parking Utility will have adjusted office hours from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. 

Due to the holiday, the City's vaccine and testing clinics are closed this weekend and will resume on Monday, Jan. 3. 

The following is the City's testing clinic schedule for the week of Jan. 3.

Note: Appointments listed below may be filled based on demand; proof of residency or employment at a Hoboken business will be required at all testing sites

As a reminder, Christmas tree disposal takes place every Tuesday and Thursday. Residents must place completely bare trees at the curb on Tuesday and Thursday evenings after 7:30 p.m. (9 p.m. on Washington Street) for pick up the next morning. Remove all lights, ornaments, and decorations. Trees must not be placed in plastic bags.
