...WINTER STORM WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM LATE FRIDAY NIGHT THROUGH LATE SATURDAY NIGHT...
* WHAT...A wintry mix transitioning to snow. Total snow
accumulations of 4 to 7 inches and ice accumulations up to a
tenth of an inch possible. Winds could gust as high as 40 mph.
* WHERE...All of Central and portions of South Central Kansas.
* WHEN...From late Friday night through Saturday night.
* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. Areas of blowing and
drifting snow will reduce visibility under mile at times. Gusty
north winds will combine with the cold air to produce wind
chills as low as 15 below. The cold wind chills could cause
frostbite on exposed skin.
