West Covina Department Seeking Witnesses

DATE OF RELEASE: Friday, December 31, 2021
Detectives at the West Covina Police Department are currently investigating an attempted murder and are seeking other witnesses. On Friday, December 31, 2021, at approximately 2:07 AM, officers received a call for service regarding a stabbing that occurred in the 100 block of South Glendora Avenue. Officers arrived on the scene, alongside paramedics, and attended to the victim. The victim, whose identity will not be released, was transported to a local hospital and is currently in critical condition. Officers searched the area for the suspect and located him. The suspect, Peter Jacobo, a 43-year-old resident of Valinda, is currently being held in custody at the West Covina Police Department jail and booked for 664/187(a) (Attempted Murder) and 245(a)(1) (Assault with a Deadly Weapon). His bail amount is currently set at $1,000,000.
