TORNADO WATCH FOR PUTNAM COUNTY UNTIL 7 P.M.
URGENT - IMMEDIATE BROADCAST REQUESTED Tornado Watch Number 4 NWS Storm Prediction Center Norman OK 155 PM EST Sat Jan 1 2022 The NWS Storm Prediction Center has issued a * Tornado Watch for portions of Northern Alabama Eastern Kentucky Middle to eastern Tennessee Far southwest Virginia * Effective this Saturday afternoon and evening from 155 PM until 800 PM EST. * Primary threats include... A few tornadoes likely with a couple intense tornadoes possible Scattered damaging winds likely with isolated significant gusts to 80 mph possible SUMMARY...A squall line with discrete cells ahead of it will spread east-northeast into early evening with a threat for tornadoes and damaging winds. The tornado watch area is approximately along and 55 statute miles east and west of a line from 15 miles east northeast of Jackson KY to 30 miles southwest of Huntsville AL.
