WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 9 PM CST THIS
EVENING...
...WIND CHILL ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM MIDNIGHT TONIGHT TO 6 AM CST
SUNDAY...

* WHAT...For the Wind Chill Advisory, very cold wind chills
expected. Wind chills as low as 10 below zero. For the Winter
Weather Advisory, snow. Additional snow accumulations up to one
inch with total accumulations 1 to 2 inches, locally near 4
inches. Winds gusting as high as 35 mph with blowing snow as well.

* WHERE...Cochran, Cottle, Crosby, Dickens, Hockley, Lubbock and
Motley Counties.

* WHEN...For the Wind Chill Advisory, from Midnight tonight to 6 AM
CST Sunday. For the Winter Weather Advisory, until 9 PM CST this
evening.

* IMPACTS...Frostbite and hypothermia are possible if precautions
are not taken. Wind chill values may fall to extremely dangerous
levels. Plan on slippery road conditions. Widespread blowing snow
could significantly reduce visibility. The cold wind chills could
result in hypothermia if precautions are not taken. Roads, and
especially bridges and overpasses, will likely become slick and
hazardous.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Use caution while traveling outside. Wear appropriate clothing, a
hat, and gloves.

Keep pets indoors as much as possible.

Make frequent checks on older family, friends, and neighbors. Ensure
portable heaters are used correctly. Do not use generators or grills
inside.
