On Sunday, January 2, 2022 at approximately 2230 hours, the Readington Township Police stopped Alexey Kudymov (47) for speeding on Route 202 and failure to maintain lamps. While the officer was speaking to Kudymov he smelled a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage emanating from the interior of the vehicle. Kudymov failed the officers field sobriety tests and was placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated. Kudymov was issued a motor vehicle summons for DWI, Refusal to Submit to Breathalyzer, Speeding, Maintenance of Lamps and Careless Driving. The filing of charges is merely one step in the process. A defendant is presumed innocent until proven guility in a court of law.
