MERIDIAN —At approximately 12:00pm, January 3, 2022, Meridian Police Department were dispatched to a reported stabbing at Crossroads Middle School.
Two female students were involved in an altercation where one student was stabbed in the leg by another student. Police arrived on scene and were able to determine that the incident was isolated between two students. One student was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The juvenile suspect was taken into custody without incident.
The juvenile will be charged with one (1) count felony aggravated battery and one (1) count misdemeanor possessing a weapon on school property.
