Press Release: NPD #2022-295 Vehicle Pursuit & Arrest (12109 Wolf Run Road, Noblesville) 1.4.22

On January 4, 2022, at approximately 2:13 a.m., police officers from the Noblesville Police Department (NPD) responded to the Deer Path subdivision swimming pool parking lot (12109 Wolf Run Road, Noblesville) in reference to a report of a suspicious vehicle.

Officers arrived on the scene shortly after the call and observed a black 2018 Infinity QX6 occupied by several individuals in the parking lot. As officers approached to investigate, the driver of the vehicle sped off. Officers immediately pursued the vehicle for several minutes before the suspect vehicle struck tire-deflation devices (Stop Sticks) deployed by deputies with the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department. A short time later the vehicle crashed into a residence in the 1500 block of Millwood Drive, Noblesville. Officers were able to take two (2) female passengers into custody immediately while three (3) male subjects fled the scene. Officers quickly apprehended one of the male suspects a short distance from the vehicle and NPD's K-9 & Drone Units later located the remaining two (2) male suspects.

The residence that was struck by the suspect vehicle sustained minimal damage and no residents were injured in the incident.

One of the suspects, later determined to be Rylan R. Brown, 18, of Noblesville, was transported to Riverview Health (Noblesville) due to injuries received as a result of the K-9 apprehension as well as injuries from the motor vehicle crash. A 17-year-old female passenger was also transported to Riverview Health for injuries suffered as a result of the crash. Both parties were treated for minor injuries and released.

A records check revealed that the suspect vehicle was reported stolen on December 29, 2021, from the 10600 block of Winghaven Drive, Noblesville.

The NPD was assisted by the Carmel & Fishers Police Departments, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Department and Noblesville Fire Department.

Based on information collected during the investigation, preliminary charges have been filed. The adult suspect in the case was booked at the Hamilton County Jail and a 17-year-old suspect was detained at the Hamilton County Juvenile Detention Facility. A 13-year-old suspect was released to his parents in lieu of detention. Two female passengers were released without charges.
