INCIDENT: PC 273.5(a) Felony Spousal Abuse
LOCATION: 1500 block of Lillyhill Dr., Needles
SUSPECT(S): Samuel Escalera, 22-years-old, Resident of Needles
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On Monday, January 03, 2022, at approximately 9:35 a.m., deputies from the Colorado River Station / Needles Police Department responded to a report of an assault at the Colorado River Medical Center. Through investigation, it was determined the suspect, Samuel Escalera, assaulted the victim during an argument at their home earlier that morning, leaving the victim with multiple contusions, lacerations, and a concussion.
Escalera was located by deputies a short time later and was arrested for PC 273.5(a), Felony Spousal Abuse. Escalera was transported and booked at the Colorado River Station jail with a bail amount of $50,000. He remains in the custody of the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, awaiting a court hearing.
