The City of Santa Ana is holding a virtual workshop on Tuesday, January 11, 2022, about the new Rent Stabilization Ordinance and Just Cause Eviction Ordinance. The workshop will take place at 6 p.m. via Zoom.
The public is invited to attend and learn more about these new renter protection laws that went into effect on November 19, 2021. Spanish and Vietnamese interpreters will be available.

The Santa Ana City Council adopted the two new ordinances on October 19, 2021, to help protect renters:
1) Rent Stabilization Ordinance, which limits residential rent increases to no more than 3% per year.
2) Just Cause Eviction Ordinance, which limits the allowed reasons for which a renter can be evicted.
More information on the Rent Stabilization and Just Cause Eviction Ordinances can be found on the City's website at www.santa-ana.org/renterprotections. The City has also prepared user-friendly information for both tenants and rental property owners, including answers to Frequently Asked Questions in English, Spanish and Vietnamese.
