2016 and 2017 CDBG-DR FLOOD AND DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS Grant Projects 
The City of Simonton has officially begun work on the 2016 and 2017 CBDG Drainage project that are being funded by the Texas General Land Office of the State of Texas, to provide for disaster recovery and restoration of infrastructure for communities impacted by the Floods of 2016 and Hurricane Harvey. The funds have been allocated by the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development through the Community Development Block Grant Program.
