The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook and Winter Weather Advisory which is in effect from January 5th, at 7:00am until January 5th at 12:00pm. The current weather data suggests we have a fairly high risk for ice overnight which may result in coatings. The main risk will occur between 5-9AM, which has the potential to impact the morning commute. By late morning – midday tomorrow, temperatures are expected to rise through the 30s, and plain drizzle / showers will end in the early afternoon. In the event that you will be traveling during the impacted timeframe, please leave extra time for your commute and adjust your speed for the potential icy conditions.

Please do not leave vehicles parked on Borough Streets so that the DPW can effectively clear the roadways as needed.

The next weather system we will monitor is expected to arrive Thursday night into Friday morning. We may experience a period of snow overnight. With the cold temperatures, it is possible that we may have pavement coverage with the chance of this being a low-end plowable event.

We will keep an eye on the forecast, and provide additional updates if there are any significant changes/impacts.
