Full Notification

On today’s date (01/05/22) at approximately 1405 hours, Frankfort Police responded to a burglary to motor vehicle complaint at the Frankfort Post Office, 21201 Elsner Road.  Witnesses reported a male black subject break the window of a vehicle and remove various items. The offender then entered a white Kia leaving the area northbound on Elsner Road.  Information regarding the burglary was shared with neighboring police departments. A short time later Mokena Police observed the suspect vehicle in the area of Francis Road and Townline.  Mokena Police were able to stop the vehicle and detain 4 subjects. The victim's property from the burglary was recovered.  The incident appears to be isolated and the investigation is ongoing.
