South Brunswick Township COVID UPDATE - Cases Remain Very High, Mask Mandate, Local COVID Testing Date:

The South Brunswick Office of Emergency Management is providing an update on the latest information in reference to COVID, in an attempt to help our residents be prepared.

Over the past week, health officials have seen COVID cases continue to be very high in the Township. From December 31st to January 5th we again experienced a dramatic increase in cases with more than 500 additional cases reported. This mirrors trends occurring around the State.

Federal officials are bracing for U.S. infections to jump in January 2022, with numbers that could top 500,000 new cases per day. Even if only a small percentage of those people need hospital care, it will tax the healthcare system.  Officials hope that the peak of the omicron wave will be over by early February. Health officials believe the most challenging times will be the next four to five weeks.

WHAT YOU CAN DO -
