Advisory

Weather Advisory for tonight into tomorrow

SYNOPSIS: The storm producing heavy snow in Kentucky tracks northeastward; it weakens but a developing storm closer to the coast and tracking across South Jersey tonight will re-engage the snow across the region, leading to some steady light to occasionally moderate snow tonight through early tomorrow morning. As the storm passes, a gusty northwesterly wind will develop; while this will drop the wind chills later in the day through evening, the rather heavy weight of the snow should minimize excessive blowing – though there will likely be some blowing snow and reduced visibility in the morning, with drifting snow at times the rest of the day ADVISORIES: Winter Weather Advisory ADVERSE CONDITIONS: Light snow with steady accumulation after 5am – areas of blowing snow into the morning hours Accumulation: 2.0-3.0” by 7am Total Accumulation: 3.0-4.5” KEY TIMES: • 1am – 5am – flurries possible • 5am – 8am – steady snow 0.4-0.8”/hour • 8am – 10am – snow showers diminish – areas of blowing snow • 10am – flurries end WEATHER AFTER STORM: Clearing Friday afternoon, but windy and cold
