CHRISTMAS TREE DISPOSAL

NJ Department of Environmental Protection reminds our residents that it is not permissible to dispose of Christmas trees through open burning or bonfires. The burning of Christmas tree wood, as opposed to safe wood burning, reduces air quality by creating additional smoke and particulate matter and can increase the risk of wildfires in some areas. NJDEP suggests more sustainable disposal methods, such as chipping, mulching, and/or dune construction. To see full details of the advisory, please follow this link.

Bulk Waste Pick-Up

Bulk waste will be picked up on your regular collection day. Bulk waste consists of items to be discarded which are too large to fit into your new cart. Mattresses must be wrapped. The exceptions are "white goods" such as washers, dryers and refrigerators and bulky material too large to fit in the "hopper" of any vehicle used for collection.
Regulations for Bulky Waste pickup can be found on the this flyer.

Please feel free to contact the Public Works Department at (609) 587-1894 if you have additional questions.
