Advisory

Roads are snow covered and hazardous. Heavy snow falling, delay travel and keep roadways clear for snow removal equipment.

MODERATE TO HEAVY SNOW IMPACTING THE AREA EARLY THIS MORNING...

As of 520 AM, doppler radar and surface reports indicated widespread snow ongoing. There are some bands of heavier snow occurring, with a more organized band crossing the Interstate 95 corridor and shifting eastward. Snowfall rates will increase to 1 to 2 inches per hour for a time especially within this band.
Untreated roads are snow covered and hazardous, and the heavier snow will significantly reduce the visibility to one half of a mile or less at times. The snow will start to decrease in intensity and also come to an end from west to east through about
8 AM.

If you must travel early this morning, allow extra time and adjust your driving speed for the winter conditions.
