The Republic Services work stoppage continues and we know this is taking a toll on our residents. City leadership has been in constant communication with Republic Services since the crisis began.

At the January 11 City Council meeting, there will be an update on the impacts of the waste collection interruptions which will provide the community an opportunity to engage as well as hear directly from Republic Services and City staff on proposed mitigation measures. The meeting begins at 5 p.m. and will be held in Council Chambers, 276 Fourth Avenue. Due to the public health crisis, seating capacity is limited and masks are required of all people in City buildings regardless of vaccination status. The meeting also will be broadcast over speakers outside Council Chambers so people may maintain social distance and hear the meeting and comments.
