Where... Portions of East Arkansas and West Tennessee, including the following counties, in East Arkansas, Mississippi, in West Tennessee, Crockett, Dyer, Gibson, Haywood, Lauderdale, and Tipton.
When... Until 9:15 am.
Impacts... Minor flooding in low-lying areas and poor drainage areas.
Additional details...
-- At 6:05 am, dopplar radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms, this will cause urban and small stream flooding, up to 1 inch of rain has fallen.
--Additional rainfall amounts of up to 1 to 2 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding.
--Some locations that will experience flooding include Dyersburg, Convington, Ripley, Halls, Burdette, Forked Deer, Nutbush, Unionville, Chestnut Bluff, Ft. Pillow, Ashport, Easton, Henning, Maury City, Friendship, Gates, Garland, Flippin, Dryhill, and Curve.
TURN AROUND, DON'T DRWN WHEN ENCOUTERING FLOODED ROADS, MOST FLOOD DEATHS OCCUR IN VEHICLES.
BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS AT NIGHT WHEN IT IS HARDER TO RECOGNIZE THE DANGERS OF FLOODING.
