INCIDENT: Major Accident Investigation
LOCATION: Desert Knoll Avenue and Twentynine Palms Highway, Twentynine Palms
SUMMARY: On January 8, 2022, Deputies with the Twentynine Palms Station responded to Desert Knoll Avenue and Twentynine Palms Highway for report of a traffic collision. Additional information related to the incident indicated a passenger was trapped under one of the vehicles. Bystanders nearby ran to help and managed to lift the car and render medical aid.
Multiple parties were transported to a local hospital for treatment. Mercy Air flew a 10-year-old female passenger to Loma Linda Medical Center in critical condition, she later succumbed to her injuries.
