La Habra Heights City Council Vacancy Application
City Council Member Jane Williams submitted a letter to the City Clerk resigning her position on the City Council effective January 10, 2022. Her term expires in November of 2024.
The City Council is looking to fill the vacancy by appointment. Because the current vacancy occurred in the first half of the term, the appointment will only be until the November 8, 2022 General Municipal Election. The winning candidate in November's election would serve the remaining two years.
Interested candidates for appointment to the City Council vacancy must submit the Application for City Council Appointment to City Hall by Monday, January 24, 2022 at 5:00 PM. The application can be submitted in person at the drop box located outside City Hall (1245 N. Hacienda Rd., La Habra Heights, CA 90631) or emailed to [email protected]. The application is attached to this message or is available on the City's website at https://lhhcity.org/.
The City Council has scheduled a Special Meeting for Friday, January 28, 2022 at 6:30 p.m. for discussion of this item.
