This is a message from the Clay County 911 Center. Frontier Communications has scheduled maintenance to all phone services in Clay County on, Wednesday night, January 12, 2022, and Thursday night, January 13, 2022, beginning at 11:00 pm.  The maintenance is scheduled to last approximately 4 hours. The outage may affect all home and business phone lines as well as most cell phone services in Clay County. 911 phone lines at the Clay County 911 center could be affected by the maintenance. In the event 911 lines go down, all 911 calls will be transferred to another county until Frontier Communications restores phone services to the Clay County area. If you have any type of emergency and you are unable to reach 911, you will need to report to the Clay County E M S base at 41 Courthouse Drive or go to the nearest hospital emergency room.  Any further updates will be sent out as information is received.
