Cranbury Police remind residents to safeguard personal property, be aware of your surroundings and report suspicious activity immediately

This is a reminder from the Cranbury Township Police Department as a result of an increase in area incidents. Several neighboring jurisdictions have experienced a recent increase in residential burglaries and motor vehicle thefts. While none have occurred in Cranbury it is important to note that we are not immune to future occurrences. We know you have heard this advice before but it is worth saying again. Please, take all measures to protect your personal property. Take the necesaary steps to secure and hide all high-end jewelry, loose cash and documents containing your personal information. Always lock all doors and windows. This is particularly important with respect to vehicles; keep the vehicle locked and please never leave your keys / key fobs inside. Please ensure that any levels of security you use is properly working, to include but not be limited to, cameras, lighting and alarms. Be mindful of your property, your neighborhoods and immediately report all suspicious activity to Police.
