INCIDENT: PC 288.4(B)- Meeting with a Minor for Lewd Purpose

SUSPECT(S): Leo Phillip Huerta, 40-Year-Old Yucca Valley resident
VICTIM(S): Confidential
SUMMARY: On December 15, 2021, Detectives at the Morongo Basin Sheriff's Station conducted an investigation into a report of a suspect, Leo Phillip Huerta, attempting to make contact with a minor for lewd purposes. Detectives authored a warrant for Huerta's arrest. On January 6, 2022, Huerta was arrested on the warrant and interviewed at the Morongo Basin Sheriff's Station. Upon conclusion of the interview, Huerta was arrested and booked at the Morongo Basin Jail for PC 288.4-Meeting with a minor for a lewd purpose and is being held at West Valley Detention Center with bail set at $150,000.
