WE NEED YOUR HELP!
The Bordentown Township Police Department is seeking volunteers to participate on the Burlington County Domestic Violence Response Team (DVRT).
What is the Domestic Violence Response Team?
The Domestic Violence Response Team is a twenty-four hour a day, seven day a week program created to assist victims of domestic abuse. Team members will be called upon by the local police to assist victims at the police station or hospital by providing them with support, information and referrals. The goal of the program is to provide victims with the knowledge to make informed decisions based upon the options available to them.
Volunteers must attend a free, 40-hour training course, possess a valid driver’s license, be willing to serve on an on-call shift basis, and submit to background investigations and fingerprinting.
